December 17, 2011

Sorry for the blogging fail. It has been almost a month! But there has been so much to do! I hope to spend some good time digesting and recounting my adventures after all of this is over, but until then, here’s a (very) brief highlight.

I had 10 days off in a row (apart from two sessions of a single class, one of which I skipped…), and during that time I went to a Medieval Fair, spent a lot of time attempting to study in the library but getting little accomplished, discovered Bo de B, the best sandwich shop in Barcelona, and I went to Rome!

As soon as I got back, I met my brother and his two friends, who came to visit and have a short European tour. I showed them some of my favorite parts of the city, we had delicious paella, and all was well.

As soon as they left (actually, before), I rushed to get ready for my meeting with the Prince and Princess of Spain!! My program got invited to a reception of the Prince and Princess, and it was a great experience! I even got to shake his hand and have pictures with them(which I’m hoping my friends will pass along to me soon!!).

The next morning, I woke up and had pink eye. :/ Not fun. But I had already planned to go to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert that evening, which was incredible!! šŸ™‚

And then started my last weekend in Spain… which I realized suddenly! I thought I would have another one, but with my Christmas travel schedule, it appears this is my last one! So I’m trying to enjoy it, in the midst of all the exam studying, paper writing, and play reading I have to do before the end of this week!!

So there you have it! I should be adding pictures and more meaningful reflections on my last days in Barcelona soon.

Thank you, blog readers, for putting up with me and my ridiculously irregular and sporadic postings, but, as I’m sure this post makes clear, I’ve been too busy to think, much less sit down and do some good quality blogging. It’ll come soon, I promise.

Much love!

Kristen

P.S. I guess google thinks I have malware on my site–it’s not true! Or at least I hope not! Just be careful clicking links that I haven’t directly posted.
