I’m going to Barcelona, Spain, for the entire fall semester in 2011. This is a way of tracking my thoughts, fears, hopes, goals, and whatever else may come up in the process of preparing for, being in, and returning from my semester abroad. It’s pretty boring for now, since I’m still in America, but it’ll get more interesting when I actually get there.

Beware, some of my posts may be entirely or partially in Spanish. I recommend Google Translate as a place to copy/paste and get a rough English translation, but it’s definitely not perfect and there may be some severe mis-translations. The biggest problem is that it doesn’t seem to understand the implicit subject, so a lot of phrases won’t translate a subject pronoun (e.g. I, you, they, etc). If you have any questions about what I meant by a Spanish phrase, ask me in the comments section or shoot me an email.

Also, feel free to contact me if you’ve been to Europe (especially Spain or France or somewhere on the Mediterranean) and have a recommendation of what kinds of places I should check out.
